Player Development

The Player Development Program consists of power skating, stick-handling, passing, power shooting, scoring, speed and agility training, and creative confidence sessions. Peak Performance staff members will be ready to assist each player by showing the proper form for each skill by demonstration and by using video analysis. Each player will leave this program with the knowledge of how and why they must master these skills.

Why Skills Training?

In a game, an average player has the puck on his stick for only 20- 30 seconds. Hardly enough time to feel the puck, let alone develop any hockey skills. As far as skating, he/she will be on the ice for an average of 12-14 minutes in a one hour game. Games alone will not get it done.

To make it to the next level, you need to continue to improve your individual skills and learn to play outside your comfort zone.
