The Saints came out breathing fire within about four minutes the Cyclones had reversed the situation hence the fire was extinguished. A goal by Sam Lammert kicked off what was to be an arm wrestle for the remainder of the match. Cyclones peppered the Saints goal line on numerous occasions with a lot of close shaves but to no avail. Ollie was on his game saving numerous attempts from the opposition when a line decision on offside call could have went the Cyclones way but was not to be which levelled the score. Cyclones threw a strong attack at the opposition goalie; to his credit he kept them at bay. Player of the match Sharnita Crompton. |

The score is a reflection on the match. Cyclones were dominate in all facets of the game with passing & positional play a standout. The team are growing in stature which makes for an exciting season ahead. James Price made a return from a shoulder injury, his presence a boost for the team as well as bagging a few goals for himself .Away games are tough enough but its nice to see a growing number of parents and friends following the team. Player of the Match - the whole team. |

Thirty-three seconds in the match Tyler Blamey (defender) took the puck through the Bears and scored a magnificent unassisted goal. Sam Cook snared the second goal with a well timed shot unassisted. A number of big hits by both teams but one that stood out was Andrew Moore that was time to perfection on his opposing player. Sharnita Crompton showed strength beyond her size by a number of times moving the opposition back towards their own goal line. Fifty-five seconds left in the match (coach) Kevin Price called time out to put in a set play which resulted in a third goal by Sam Lammert tip in off Same Cook. Shots on goal Cyclones 27 Bears 5. Player of the match Oliver Hahn-Hill. |
